100% Rainproof, Breathable, Warm and Washable
The Dog Tankie can be worn on its own like a body warmer, over an Equafleece® Dog Jumper as an extra layer on those really cold days, or under any dog coat as a base layer.
As with all our products, the Tankie is 100% rainproof, comfortable to wear and suitable for all dogs. It has no buckles and straps so is ideal for the older, more sedentary dog that doesn’t move like he/she used to. Also for those canines who are finicky about their legs and feet.
It’s styled like a Dog Jumper but with spacious leg holes and a 1” deep collar.

Slim Tankies
These fit all very slim dogs like Whippets, Lurchers, Greyhounds, Deerhounds and very slim Pointers. Completely rainproof with a thermal rating of over 4 tog (similar to a summer weight duvet).

For broader breeds of dogs. They are also ideal for any dog carrying a little extra weight for whatever reason.
Faux Fur Collar
For the style guru there’s the Faux Fur Collar in Leopard, Silver Cheetah, Snow Leopard, Tiger, Antelope or Zebra with premium quality prints (at extra cost) – please see our Colour Chart for samples and our Photo Gallery to see how they could look on your dog.
The Faux Fur Collar isn’t waterproof and doesn’t stretch as well as the fleece collar. It’s cut approximately 1” wider to try and allow for that, but it may not be enough in some cases.
The Tankie Faux Fur Collar is cut to have a finished depth the same as the Dog Jumper collar rather than the standard Tankie collar depth of 1”.
Garments with a Faux Fur Collar are made to order (7–10 days) and therefore can’t be exchanged or refunded if the size is subsequently wrong. If you aren’t sure of the size it’s best to buy the standard garment to check the fitting and then return it to us to add the collar.

Waterproof Zip
If your dog is very stiff or arthritic a three quarter length Waterproof Zip can be added to the back (at extra cost) giving more flexibility to put on and take off. ABSOLUTELY NOT NEEDED FOR NORMAL DOGS.
PLEASE NOTE: Adding a zip reduces the stretch marginally so please ensure your garment is already not tight.
