Dogs come in more shapes and sizes than most animals. If the right size for your dog isn't obvious please ring to discuss measurement (0845 1235296) It helps if when you ring you have dog, tape measure and if necessary assistant all to hand.

We measure the size of coats, jumpers and polonecks in inches from sternum bone (centre of chest) to base of tail, not from back of neck to base of tail, so the sizing an existing coat may not be an accurate guide.

IF IN DOUBT, take the measurement from top of neck (top of collar) to base of tail as a cross-check; this measurement should be SHORTER than our measurement from centre of chest by between one and four inches.

In borderline cases go for the larger size - more customers order too small than too large.

If a coat doesn't fit just send it straight back with a note of the problem. We will send you a coat of the right size.

Fit

The sizing is not simply the length of back like other dog wear, it is from the centre of the chest to the line of the tail to ensure the perfect fit. A Staffordshire Bull Terrier and a whippet can be the same length down the back but no one should presume they wear the same size coat.

Demand and close observation of different types of dogs has led to the latest design development – the slim cut coat specifically cut for the deep-chested slim-waisted whippet/greyhound type.
